What We Do
Since 2006, we have been creating exceptional travel experiences throughout Africa.
Welcome!
Wild At Heart Journeys specializes in creating exceptional travel experiences that will leave you touched and inspired.
Creating the perfect safari (Journey in Swahili) takes intimate knowledge, time and consultation. Using our first hand knowledge, we provide you, the traveler, with hand picked options for destinations, activities and accommodations that meet your travel style and desires for your magical African safari.
Built into every journey is support for local projects. Whether it is staying at a lodge where the profits benefit a local conservation or empowerment project or going deeper and spending days exploring and experiencing the lives of the local people and culture. Wild At Heart Journeys supports many local projects that are focused on wildlife conservation, education, empowerment and healthcare. Please visit our Journeys For Hope page for more information on some of the projects we support.
We look forward to curating your personal travel experience, so contact us now for your consultation and Let the Journey Begin!
About our Wild at Heart Staff
We are passionate about Africa and Travel. We believe that travel can transform people's lives.
All of us here at Wid at Heart Journeys have had our hearts touched by Africa and have been changed forever.
“Africa changes you forever, like nowhere on earth. Once you have been there, you will never be the same.”
We have traveled throughout Africa in search of experiences that take you deeper and leave you with an intimate understanding and connection to the destination and its people. In our quest to create safaris that inspire, we have climbed Kilimanjaro not just once but multiple times, climbed Mt. Meru, Mt. Kenya and Table Mountain, lived in a small village on the slopes of Kilimanjaro, experienced the Great Migration in the Serengeti and Masai Mara, tracked Mountain Gorillas, Lowland Gorillas and Chimpanzees, stood on the edge of the thundering Victoria Falls and Murchison Falls, witnessed stunning sunsets while floating on the Nile and Zambezi Rivers, galloped on horseback in the midst of wildebeest and zebra, in the Okavango Delta and across the Namib Desert, hunted with the Hadzabi, spent time exploring the cultures of the Himba, Maasai, Samburu and San, explored the underwater treasures of the Indian ocean, trekked through the rain forest and bais of the Congo, tasted wines throughout the winelands, stood at the southern most point of the African Continent and the list goes on!
